This is Ataturk, the Cat Who Came Before the Cat Who Came Before Me. She owned the Woman when the Woman was just a sticky person. And look what they did to her!
And that wasn't the worst of it! That poor kitty got dressed up in doll clothes, too! I think she had enough, because it looks like she's yelling at them to TAKE THIS OFF!!!
This is a really old picture, at least 40 years old...but I wish I could have met her, because I get the feeling we would have a lot to talk about.

The only dolls my human liked as a child were Barbie dolls, luckily for the cats she grew up with! Those won't fit on a kitty.
ReplyDeleteThe Woman's first cat got to get dressed in baby doll clothing and lie in the baby carriage. She liked the carriage. Not so much the clothing...
ReplyDeleteOur Mom's first cat wore doll cloths, too. He was a yellow tabby called Mr. Jinx! Mom will have to see if she has any pictures of him.
ReplyDeleteMom would wrap her first cat in a blanket and put him in a stroller and push him around the neighborhood. She was around six at the time. He was a very patient cat. (Me, not as much)

The shame if it all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tortie girl!
ReplyDeleteLove the table. My cat Farko used to wear a pink pearl necklace.
ReplyDeleteShe sure does look like she's yelling about something.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she's wearing a napkin. When my cat was a little girl she used to fit in my plastic garbage can. I took her for walks around the house with her riding on top of my head. It was the Cute Garbage Tour.
ReplyDeleteAtaturk was a furry patient kitty we thinks. Mom bean says she never had a kitty who wore clothes, but she did have one that liked to eat olives. Blechhh!

Have you ever been... you know... dressed?

Oh geez...did she push poor Ataturk around in a dolly carriage too?
