Well. I wasn't having any of that. So I peed on the bathroom floor.
Victory was mine and they opened the door. But why should I make it easy for them? There's no good reason for them to have it easy!
So this morning I peed in the empty laundry basket in the bathroom.
Now, the downside is that the Woman didn't get mad; she just cleaned it up and sprayed this enzyme stuff (that frankly doesn't work) and asked me if I was feeling all right. And then she went on about how I don't act sick or anything and the box was reasonably clean, so why am I peeing in her bathroom?
Duh.
Because I can.

You know if they try and change something, sometimes you have to reinforce the message that change is no okay...
ReplyDeleteGood job, Max!
ReplyDeleteWe have one of those holes going into the laundry room too. Maggie May can't figure out how to go through the flap so they put her a litter box upstairs after she peed on Dixie Dog's bed.
Max, you might consider that you actually haf a problem. That how Skeeter started to "go" last year.
ReplyDeleteWe hopes ya are OK...
Sometimes you just have to pee outside the box.

Max, how long have you had these people for? And they still haven't learned?
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
Uh-oh, Max. We understand how you feel but.. if you keep doing this, they may take you to the STABBY PLACE!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat door could be a gateway to another dimension!
ReplyDeletewhy else???
ReplyDeleteWhen you're not fond of something you gotta react....and I hope you are feelin fine!

Happy 4th.
ReplyDeleteI understand your dislike of change, but if you keep peeing outside the box, your People may very well take you to the Stabby Place. Happy Fourth of July!
ReplyDeleteHey Max. You gotta behave kitty. Otherwise you may have to go to the stabby place, or worse ... ASPCA.
ReplyDeleteI knew you could handle that comment, because you are strong (willed).
Love you.
M.
Yeah, like some others have said, we say you gotta be careful or they'll take you to the v-e-t! And you don't want that if nuthin's really wrong.
ReplyDeleteWe're sure it's just the reaction to change with them trying to make it harder to get to the litter box. But be careful...
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
I think the problem is that the door doesn't have one of those automatic opening thingies-you know, the kind they have at the grocery store or at Wal-mart..humans have'em-why should you expect less?
ReplyDeleteWe know it is different, but we like out cat door. Well Angel does ans Kirby is learning!
ReplyDeleteMax, they just don't learn, do they???
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad have discussed the hole in the door thing, but would have to do some serious re-arranging and haven't taken the plunge yet. They had friends who had a hole in the wall into a closet that led to another hole to a catwalk from the first floor down into the basement where their cats had to go from the top of the dryer down to the litter box. A lot of work to go tinkle, really.

Well, clearly my sis PQ read this entry and decided to try something different. She peed on the bathroom rug this morning! My mom wasn't amused at all.
ReplyDeleteBe careful Max, if yoo pee in to many "inappropriate" areas too many times dey haf a tendancy to take yoo to da stabby place.
